Neighbours, who are friends, who are also models
A winter shoot with Eli
Once again I confess it has been a while since I've last blogged. I'm still working hard in pursuing my dream, but I fear I may have chosen the worst time in doing so, having two small kids, one being only 9 months old. So, in my sleep deprived state I am sharing some new pics with you. This week has been a significant one in terms of taking a step closer to becoming a pro photographer. I have upgraded my camera and am now shooting in full frame baby!! I am so thankful for this new piece of magical machinery which is still intimidating me.
I recently befriended my lovely little neighbour, Eli, who also happens to have a little bit of experience in modelling. She was awesome to work with and the two of us had lots of fun.
It was a new challenge for me taking photos indoors. My new trusty cam fortunately handles the low light much better than my old one. Eli had some fun ideas (which took me out of my comfort zone) so the following few pics were very experimental. Eli is a glamorous housewife (just like me) who loves furry things and animal print (unlike me). Our collaboration therefore yielded some interesting results.

Housework is such folly: The glamorous housewife's work is never done. |
After a fun time of props and poses we headed outside, where I was much more comfortable, and took some pics in the warm African winter sun.

This is probably my favourite photo of the whole day. Eli's eyes are just amazing. |
I have two jobs lined up this weekend. I'm not sure if I'm getting paid for them or not, but at least it seems as if I am getting closer to living the dream!
Don't stop believing...
